This piece is surprisingly the lining from a beautiful vintage coat! I suggest repurposing the piece and wearing as a long vest over your favorite  dress, denim, or layering pieces. The zipper doesn't close so this piece is to be worn belted it or open!  Definitely unconventional but too good not to let it be the star!
